Registry Editing Has Been Disabled By Your Administrator-System Restore Has Been Turned Off By Group Policy. How to Enable or Fix RegEdit
Many times when working on a computer that has been infected with a virus, trojan, malware or spyware I find myself with my most important command, Regedit, the Windows Registry Editor being disabled. Virus creators like to disable the Registry Editor so it makes solving the problem and removing the issue difficult.
If you have Windows XP Professional and access to an administrative user account, you could change the registry editor options in the Group Policy Editor.

Though you can alter the corrupted registry keys (caused by those malware and spyware), you should be cautious to manually edit the values on a registry…because a slightest change could cause the system instablity.
I would strongly suggest you to clean up your PC using Reimage.
Because Reimage is the only repair tool that can correct a damage a trojan, malware or spyware has caused by replacing the damaged files with the good one from a repository of 25 million windows components.
Reimage can fix
Security Threats: Malicious software, Viruses, Trojans, Spyware, Fake Anti-Spyware etc…
Hardware Issues: Low Memory, Hard Disk Speed, CPU Power & Temperature. The Scan recommends solutions for your Hardware Problems, e.g. If your PC’s CPU Temp is too high, you’ll be advised to clean your cooling fan. If the scan detects low memory, you’ll be advised to add more.
Stability Issues: Your PC’s Crash History will be uncovered. The scan tells you what programs & applications crash most often and how frequently.
At the end of the scan, a Summary will appear and review your PC’s Security, Hardware, and Stability with the recommended levels.
Reimage not only detects and terminates Adware, Spyware, Trojans, Key-loggers, Identity Theft scripts, Hijackers, Tracking Threats, Rogue Anti-Spyware, Unwanted Software, Phishing and Popups.files- it also fixes ALL the damage they left behind within 30 minutes. It is not just a registry cleaner, anti-spyware, windows repair and an Anti-virus software… it is a full-service, comprehensive “PC-Wash” that retrieves a “Just-Like-New” computer while keeping your personal data secure and protected.
